"CALIFORNIA PAPI"

This piece came from a time in my life when I couldn’t stop noticing poppy flowers and hummingbirds everywhere. I’ve always loved the vibrant orange of the poppies and the rainbow-like shimmer on the hummingbirds’ chests and wings.

 

I wanted to create something simple yet full of feminine energy, which is why the flowers are designed with lashes and eyes subtly hidden within them.

 

I named it “California PAPI” as a nod to the California poppy and the life it brings.
